Stage Fright
2025

Stop Motion short film created by me showing a girl who has stage fright. This was my first time creating a stop motion puppet and environment.

Puppet Fabrication
Final Design

Character Design
Sculpting
I sculpted my character in an oil based clay over a wire armature.

The character mechanical and expression sheet.

Mold Making and Casting
I casted a plaster mold of the clay body, then registered a wire armature and cast the body in color silicone, with paint in shoes.

Heads

After sculpting the head, I molded it in silicone, then made 2 plastic casts of it. I filed down the mouth on one head, and sculpted a different expression with epoxysculpt. Then I painted both heads with acrylic.

I vacuum-formed eyelids and pupils.

Clothing Fabrication
For her shirt and pants, I created a pattern, then mocked up a sample in muslin, then sewed and fabric glued the final version together.

For her star hat, I first created a wire frame fit to her head. I then cut out fabric for each side and sewed them onto the frame. I filled the hat with stuffing and then glued it closed. I then sewed a cotton fabric to the ends of the hat to work as an elastic band to keep the hat on her head.

Drop Shoot: Venus Fly Trap
2025

This was my first time shooting stop motion. I used a downshoot to show a flower being eaten. Made out of paper, watercolor, colored pencil, and string.

Fisherman's Curse
Short film written and directed by me. A short film that will be created by a team of 8 people in 10 weeks. Currently in production.
Log line: A girl falls asleep while tanning and dreams her hands turn into fish.

Clothing Fabrication:
Trina's Bikini Sets
I created clothing patterns by draping paper onto the clay puppet, then cutting to size.

I dyed my fabrics using watered down gouache to create the perfect color match to the design, then I traced my patterns and cut my fabric.
